Yamaha RX 100 Bike: The Great Yamaha RX 100 Re-Release in 2025 gave the biker community across India a pretty big jolt of excitement. Back in the late ’80s and ’90s, the RX 100 was the powerhouse known for intoxicating exhaust notes and the light-muscle adored by the road-starved Indian youth of that time. Sharing the similar retro flavor, the 2025 Yamaha RX 100 pays tribute to the classics with its round headlamp, flat seat, and minimal bodywork. These few upfront modern glosses include LED lighting, a digital-analog cluster, and what are apparently new alloy wheels. While the shape of the fuel tank retains the classic RX lineage, Yamaha has clothed it now in rather loud colors and graphics that advertise to both the youth and the hard-core cult of fans; a concoction that bridges the vintage look with a slight edge of modern technology.

The new RX 100 is expected to have a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, moving in with the latest BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. If the original 2-stroke engine cannot be produced anymore, Yamaha wants to give a slender line of peppy performance towards reminding a rider of the vigorous ride that the RX provided. The engine is said to be churning out something around 11-12 bhp, so it would be very responsive and nimble for commuting through the city and short bursts at the highway. It should be able to give more than 65-70 km/l mileage, thus coming in very cheaply as a daily use bike.

When it comes to the launch timings and price prospect, the India launch of Yamaha RX 100 (2025) is expected to happen towards the end of 2025, with an ex-showroom price of around ₹1 lakh to ₹1.20 lakh. The ever-rising demand for retro-modern motorcycles in the commuter segment promotes Yamaha to capture the hearts of traditional customers as well as new-age bikers. The comeback of the RX 100-not that would mean the comeback of a machine but that of a legend into the new age.
