SASSA Weekly Schedule 2025 : Having announced its official weekly payment schedule for August 2025, SASSA has relieved millions of beneficiaries. It is confirmed by the agency that R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant payment, along with Old Age Pension and Disability Grants, will start on 10 August 2025. This makes it sure that recipients will be able to appropriately plan their finances and accommodate income into their accounts.
Old Age Pension Payments Start First
Within the schedule, it is dictated that Old Age Pension Grants will be the first to be processed. Payment of the grants will commence on the 10th of August 2025. It is expected that the funds will reflect in the bank accounts of the grant beneficiaries within just a few working days. This grant will be of utmost assistance to the elderly citizens who depend on these funds for daily expenses such as groceries, medical needs, and utility bills. The R350 SRD Grant, which provides support to millions of citizens who are out of work, will be processed further down the line. Beneficiaries are warned to update their banking details on the official SASSA portal to avoid unnecessary delays. Those claiming via cash send or at post offices should wait for SMS notifications prior to going.

SASSA continues to reiterate the importance of ensuring that personal and banking details are accurate. Incorrect details are still one of the biggest reasons for delayed payments. Beneficiaries can check their payments on the SASSA website or by calling their nearest SASSA office. Beneficiaries are, however, advised to avoid overcrowding at payment points by staggering their withdrawals during the month.
